ঘরেতে ইলিশ পালন

বর্ষা এবার খুব জমেছে,ইলিশ খাবার পালা,

জলে ভিজে বাজার থেকে ইলিশ আনা ঠ্যালা।

হাঁটু সমান জল ঠেলে ভাই,ক'রতে হ'লে বাজার,

ইলিশ খাওয়া উঠবে মাথায়,কাজেই,আমি নাচার।

বুদ্ধি ক'রে,বিশাল কাঁচের জার এনেছি কিনে,

জ্যান্ত ইলিশ ছেড়ে দিছি,গঙ্গা থেকে এনে।

সাঁতার কাটে,ডিগবাজি খায়,ইলিশ মনোলোভা,

বিশালাকার ড্রয়িং রুমের বেড়ে গেছে শোভা।

ইচ্ছে হলেই জ্যান্ত ইলিশ তুলে এনে কাটি,

তিন চার পদ রান্না ক'রে খাই যে পরিপাটি।

ইলিশ ভাপা,সর্ষে-ইলিশ,ইলিশ কড়া ভাজা,

ঘরে বসেই খেতে পেলে,কে আর না পায় মজা !

বন্ধু হউক,শত্রু হউক,যে আসে মোর ঘরে,

রান্না ক'রে খাওয়াই ইলিশ পরম সমাদরে।

খবর পেয়ে আত্মীয় সব যে যেখানে আছে,

হচ্ছে হাজির আমার বাড়ি,খরচা বেড়ে গেছে।

হোক না খরচ, অতিথি তো দেবতা সমান,
ইলিশ পুষে সবার কাছে বেড়েছে তো মান !
ভাবছো এ সব মিথ্যা কথা ? গল্প গাঁজাখুরি ?
নিজের চোখে দেখতে হ'লে,এসো আমার বাড়ি।
